5 Best Vocal Microphones Under $500

Budget Friendly Mics That Sound Great

As a sound engineer I am always asked about which microphone is the best, as well as asked to recommend which microphone an artist or producer should buy.  Unfortunately, there is no single answer to either of these questions.  Every vocalist sounds unique, and every microphone sounds unique, too.  It's all about finding the specific microphone that compliments your unique voice.  But with all of the options out there, with such a huge range in prices, it can be hard to narrow down the list.  So, based on a budget of $500 I have compiled a list of my 5 favorite vocal microphones available within that budget.  Check out the full article for the details.

Music Education Group, INC and www.urmixd.com Hold Workshop to Help Kids Learn How to Mix and Master

Music Education Group, INC and www.urmixd.com Hold Workshop to Help Youth learn how to record and mix their music.

The Music Education Group, Inc., is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization who's mission is to teach students life-skills development through music, film and digital media, by preparing the next generation of industry leaders for success in the global economy.

At www.urmixd.com, we're leveling the playing field for independent artists worldwide by making professional quality mixing affordable and readily accessible to everyone.

We had a great workshop on 5/25/19 in Atlanta, Ga with Urmixd and MEG!  We took one of the students previously recorded songs, and showed them how to mix and master their song on a professional level.  Everyone's energy was amazing, the kids asked some great questions, and hopefully learned some cool stuff at the same time.  More events to come soon!
